The Intelligel® gel metatarsal pillow was designed to protect and comfort the ball of the foot. The gel is between two layers of fabric to relieve vertical pressure while simultaneously absorbing shear forces responsible for the burning sensation under the ball of the foot, often associated with wearing high heels.
